Entry Requirements for Pakistani Studetns in University of Sheffield


We have been welcoming students from Pakistan for many years and our staff are very familiar with the Pakistani education system and qualifications.
High entrance requirements for our degree programmes at Sheffield reflect the quality of the University.

All applicants are required to have an internationally recognised English language qualification such as IELTS or equivalent. The minimum score that is accepted for entry, in line with UKBA regulations, is IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. Please note that some departments may require a higher score.

Holders of a 4 year Bachelors Degree in Engineering/ScienceApplicants with a good four-year Bachelor of Engineering/Science from a recognised institution in Pakistan will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate diploma or taught Masters programmes.
Holders of a 2 year Masters DegreeApplicants with a good two-year masters degree from a recognised institution in Pakistan will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate diploma or taught Masters programmes.
MBA Applicants

Undergraduate scholarships for for Pakistan 2015


The University of Sheffield offers a range of scholarships to students from Pakistan who show exceptional academic potential and are starting their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2015.There are two Scholarships available for Pakistani students. Each scholarship is worth 50% of the annual undergraduate tuition fee. This is guranteed in the first year of study and is available in each subsequent year, excluding any year in the industry or years abroad, subject to achieving 60% or above in the previous academic year. This applies to all undergraduate programmes except Medicine and Dentistry. Students of Medicine or Dentistry will only receive the scholarship for non-clinical years.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship applicants must be self-funding and classed as 'Overseas' for fee purposes and a national of or permanently domiciled in Pakistan apply for a study place by Friday 17 April 2015 for entry in 2015.
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and supporting statement. The final decision will be made by academic panel.

IOE Centenary Masters Scholarships 2015

Institute of London offers scholarships for masters degree program. The scholarship will cover full tuition fees and accommodation at International Students House. Those students are encouraged to apply who plan to work either in their home country,or another, to improve the circumstances of disadvantaged, excluded of underachieving citizens.

Oxford-Anderson Graduate scholarship 2015

Oxford-Anderson graduate scholarship now accepting applications for the year 2015. Scholarships are awarded to applicants who have demonstrated excellent academic ability, who will contribute to the university's groundbreaking research, and who will go on to contribute world as leaders in their field, pushing the frontiers of knowledge. The university contributes 40% of the funds for these scholarships, together with 60% from generous donations provided by numerous supporters of the university and its colleges.

All eligible applicants will be considered for this scholarship, regardless of which college you state as your preference on the graduate application form. However, successful applicants will be transferred to University College in order to take up the scholarship.

International Business Scholarship at University of Birmingham 2015

University of Birmingham offers International Business Scholarship for EU,UK and overseas students. The scholarship will be awarded up to  £10,000 to be used towards the Birmingham MBA tuition fee.

Govt of Czech Republic Scholarship for developing countries 2015/2016

Faculty of social sciences at university of Charles with the collaboration of czech republic government offers partial scholarships for the academic year 2015/2016.

Scholarship description


  • under the terms of this scholarship, students will receive a waiver of school fees for their first semester of study, plus a one-off payment of 50 000 CZK(about 2050 EUR) as a contribution towards living costs.
  • school fees for the second semester of study will NOT be waived.
  • Although we would like to continue the scholarship scheme in school year 2016/17, this is a subject of our receiving further funding for future years. At present, therefore, we cannot guarantee that similar scholarships will be available for students second year of study.

Selection Criteria

  • All scholarship applications received by the deadline will be assessed by the scholarship Review Board, which will recommend seven students to receive scholarships to the Dean of the faculty. The decision of the Board on which students it will recommend for a scholarship will be independent of the deliberations of the Admissions Panel regarding which student to admit. However, only students finally admitted by the faculty are eligible to become scholarship holders.
  • In addition to the documents submitted by the scholarship applicants, the Scholarship Review Board will take into consideration applicants results from their earlier studies. Priority will be given ti students who have not previously had the opportunity to study abroad.
  • A final decision regarding the students to be offered scholarships will be made by the Dean. The Dean will not enter into correspondence with the unsuccessful applicants regarding the decision.

World Bank S. McNamara Fellowship Program 2015

The Robert S.McNamara Fellowships program was established in 1982 to honor the former president of the World Bank, by contribution from the World Bank and the governments of Bangladesh, China, India, Kuwait, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru and former Yugoslavia.

Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Programme For Postgraduate Study 2015-2016

Aga Khan Foundation invites applications for accomplishing postgraduate studies for developing countries. Aga Khan Foundation offers very limited seats for the outstanding students who have no other means of financing their studies.

Eligibility

The Aga Khan Foundation accepts applications from the students of Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan, Tajiksatan, Kyrgyzstan. Syria, Egypt,Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, and Mozambique. In France, Portugal, UK, USA and Canada applications are invited from those who are originally located from one of the above developing countries.

The Foundation only accepts applications of eligible nationals listed above who are residing in one of the countries where there are local Aga Khan Foundation(AKF), Aga Khan Education Services(AKES) offices which process applications and interview candidates.

Trent International Program (TIP) offers a limited number of highly competitive renewable Full and Tuition scholarships to students eligible for undergraduate admission to Trent, and who are not citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Preference is given to high school graduates although transfer students are also eligible to apply.
     These scholarships and Awards are tenable for up to four years of an Honours degree if a "B" average is maintained each year and are available for students entering the University in September only. TRENT-ESL students are eligible to apply for International Awards upon successful completion of the TRENT-ESL program.
     All students except exchange and letter of permission students, will automatically be considered for Trent University Entrance Scholarships, awarded for academic excellence. These range in value from CDN$1,000 to CDN$3,000.

  • Value: approx. CDN$32,000 per academic year (8 months). Covers international tuition and ancillary fees, health insurance, room and board. Depending on need, may also include books, and some other miscellaneous expenses.

Jack Matthews International Full Scholarship (Pearson College of the Pacific)
  • Criteria: Open to graduating students from Pearson UWC of the Pacific and nominated by Pearson UWC, based on outstanding academic achievement (top 5 in class), international service, excellent record of extra-curricular activities and leadership.
  • Value: approx. CDN$32,000 per academic year (8 months). Covers international tuition and ancillary fees, health insurance, and living fees.

Trent University Entrance Scholarships
All students, Canadian and International, applying to Trent will be automatically considered for Trent University Entrance Scholarships, awarded for academic excellence. These range in value from CDN$1,000 to CDN$3,000. Students on a Year/Term Study Abroad at Trent are not eligible for Entrance Scholarship. ESL students are eligible for consideration, however the scholarship is tenable for undergraduate studies (and not for ESL).

IB Entrance Scholarships
All international students applying for admission to Trent on the basis of IB diploma will be automatically considered for IB Entrance Scholarships.
To qualify for a CDN$1,000 IB Entrance Scholarship, students must have a minimum IB score of 28. The scholarship can be combined with a Trent University Entrance Scholarship.
