High entrance requirements for our degree programmes at Sheffield reflect the quality of the University.
All applicants are required to have an internationally recognised English language qualification such as IELTS or equivalent. The minimum score that is accepted for entry, in line with UKBA regulations, is IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. Please note that some departments may require a higher score.

For Entry to Undergraduate Programmes e.g. BSc, BA, BEng/ MEng
A variety of qualifications can be considered for direct admission to undergraduate bachelor degree programmes.

| International Baccalaureate | International Baccalaureate diploma holders will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes. Required scores and subjects vary from course to course and can be found in our . |
| Higher Secondary Certificate | Candidates who have successfully completed their HSC examinations in Pakistan and who have also completed an approved Foundation Programme (such as those provided by Sheffield International College) can be considered for entry to undergraduate programmes. |

For Entry to Postgraduate Taught Programmes e.g. MA, MSc
| Holders of a 4 year Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Science | Applicants with a good four-year Bachelor of Engineering/Science from a recognised institution in Pakistan will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate diploma or taught Masters programmes. |
| Holders of a 2 year Masters Degree | Applicants with a good two-year masters degree from a recognised institution in Pakistan will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate diploma or taught Masters programmes. |
| MBA Applicants |
As well as suitable qualifications (as per the information above) at least 3-5 years' post-graduation work experience will be necessary for direct admission to our triple accredited MBA.
