Aga Khan Foundation invites applications for accomplishing postgraduate studies for developing countries. Aga Khan Foundation offers very limited seats for the outstanding students who have no other means of financing their studies.
Eligibility
Regions
The Aga Khan Foundation accepts applications from the students of Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan, Tajiksatan, Kyrgyzstan. Syria, Egypt,Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, and Mozambique. In France, Portugal, UK, USA and Canada applications are invited from those who are originally located from one of the above developing countries.Residency Requirements
The Foundation only accepts applications of eligible nationals listed above who are residing in one of the countries where there are local Aga Khan Foundation(AKF), Aga Khan Education Services(AKES) offices which process applications and interview candidates.
Age Limit
Below 30 will be prefered.
Selection Criteria
The main criteria for selecting award winners are
- Excellent Academic Records
- Genuine Financial Needs
- Admission to a reputable instution of higher learning
- Thoughtful and coherent educational and career plans.
- Revelence to the field of AKDNs focus area.
- Extra curricular interests and achievements
- Potential to achieve their goals
- Expected to have some work experience in field of interest.
Application Deadline
The deadline for submission of entire applications is March 31, although in certain countries internal deadlines may be earlier in order to process and review applications. Applicants are advised to contact the local offices for internal deadline dates and requirements as these vary from country to country. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
