Solvik Republic Ministry of Education Scholarship For Foreign Students 2015


The Ministry of Education Slovak Republic is now accepting applications for accredited study programs at public universities for the academic year 2016/16. These applications are designed for applicants meeting required general criteria and criteria related to study stay.

  5. Confirmation from the home university that student in bachleor and masters study programme study at university, or for PhD students confirmation from the home university about their enrollment to doctoral study programme.
  6. Copy of diploma from the highest education achieved and the certificate form the state exam (if available). These documents must be certified by Apostille or super legalized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by Embassy of the SR in your country (certified translation into one of the following languages: Slovak, English).
  7. List of own publications (only PhD students).
  8. Letter of acceptance from the Slovak public university in which the university undertakes to accept the applicant for study or research stay (with the exact date of the placement). The letter of acceptance must be a letter-head document of university with the signature of the person who issued the letter.

Please fill in the application according to the instructions. Compulsory attachments must be added to the application. In the event that any of compulsory attachments will not be attached to the application the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the SR will not accept this application and at the same time it will be automatically disqualified from the process of nomination for study.

Chinese Government Scholarship for International Students 2015










Chinese Government Scholarship—WMO Program is a scholarship established by MOE for World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to sponsor international students to study and conduct research in meteorology, hydrology, and water resources supervision & management in China.

Supporting Categories, Duration, Instruction Language

1. This program supports undergraduate students for no more than 5 years, master students for no more than 3 years, or doctoral students for no more than 4 years.
2. Duration of the scholarship, which covers both major study and Chinese language/preparatory study, as specified in the Admission Letter, cannot be extended in general.
3. Undergraduate scholarship winners must register for Chinese-taught credit courses. Graduate students can register for either Chinese-taught program or English-taught program if applicable.
Students of Chinese-taught programs without adequate Chinese proficiency must take one-year Chinese language/preparatory study and pass the required test before moving on to major studies.  
4. The 2 designated universities for this program are Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and Hohai University; the majors are limited to Meteorology, Hydrology and Water Resources Monitoring & Management.

Scholarship Coverage 

This is a partial scholarship which covers
-a tuition waiver;
-accommodation;
-medical insurance.

Where to Apply and Deadline

 Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

-be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health;

-be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for undergraduate programs;

-be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;

-be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.

 Application Procedure 

1.Apply to WMO Secretariat for CGS opportunity.

It is your own responsibility to consult WMO Secretariat for details and requirements of this Program and make sure you are eligible for the scholarship.

2. Apply to your target university for Pre-admission Letter once recommended by WMO Secretariat as an eligible candidate.

3.Complete the online application procedure at CSC Online Application System for International Students, submit online the completed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship and print a hard copy.

4. Submit all your application documents to WMO Secretariat before the deadline.

5.Only applications of recommended candidates from WMO Secretariat will be considered. No other applications or individual application directly sent to CSC will be considered. Candidates holding Pre-admission Letter will be placed in the host university; those without Pre-admission Letter should accept CSC’s placement of university.

Ensure you have both submitted it online and printed the hard copy.

2.Notarized highest diploma (photocopy);

Prospective diploma winners must submit official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date.

Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

3. Academic transcripts (written in Chinese or English);

Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

4. Two Recommendation Letters (written in Chinese or English);

Applicants for graduate programs must submit two recommendation letters signed by professor or associate professor.

5.A Study Plan or Research Proposal (written in Chinese or English);

This should be a minimum of 200 words for undergraduate students, and 800 words for graduate students.

6.Valid documents of your legal guardians in China (only required for applicants under the age of 18);

7. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy)

The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid.

Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.

Pleases keep the original copy of the Form for school registration.

8. Pre-admission Letter from designated Chinese university (if available);

9. Valid HSK Certificate (if available).

NOTE

All the documents should be bound together on top left corner in the order of 6.1 to 6.9.

You should submit TWO sets of bound documents.

Applications should be sent to CSC by WMO before April 30th.

No application documents will be returned.

 Placement & Scholarship Confirmation

1. Application documents of recommended candidates from WMO will be considered by CSC for eligibility and qualification.
Ineligible or incomplete applications will not be considered.
2. Qualified applications will be sent to universities for placement. Candidates who are turned down by universities will not be granted with the scholarship.
CSC reserves the right to make necessary adjustments/changes to candidate’s host university, field of study, supporting categories and duration of scholarship.
Applications enclosed with Pre-admission Letter will be sent to the universities who issued that Letter for placement confirmation.
3. CSC reviews the placement results, approves the List of Scholarship Winners and sends the admission documents to WMO Secretariat before July 31st.
Each scholarship winner will be granted with no more than one scholarship.
4. WMO Secretariat will send the admission documents (Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW201)) to the scholarship winners.
5. Scholarship winners shall not change their host university, field of study, or duration of study unless they give up the grant.
6. Scholarship will not be reserved if scholarship winner cannot register before the registration deadline.

Masters Scholarship for International Students in Latrobe University Australia 2015

The University of Latrobe Australia is inviting applications for pursuing a masters and post-graduate study for the year 2015. The scholarship amount will be between $10,000 to $20,000 a year. These scholarships will be paid for maximum two semesters(1 year).

If you receive this scholarship, you still need to pay for any difference in fees for your first two semesters, fees for the rest of your course, and your Overseas Student Health Cover. To continue receiving your scholarship into your second semester, you must maintain a C grade average.

Eligibility

You must be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to start an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. You must also have scored 85% or equivalent in your previous degree/award, and meet our English language and academic entry requirements. You are not eligible if you are starting a Higher Degree by Research, exchange program, Study Abroad program, ELICOS and Foundation Studies program, or Diploma course.

Engineering and Computer Science Scholarship In UK 2015

The university of Hertfordshire is inviting applications for the outstanding students to pursue a postgraduate degree in the field of engineering and computer science. The scholarship is offered to those students who have been offered admission for the year 2015.

Criteria

The following information is designed to provide candidates with broad guidelines on the criteria for the award of the Engineering and Computer Science Scholarship. This information is intended for guidance only.
Postgraduate Scholarship applicants will be assessed on the basis of the following:

Academic achievements

Successful candidates will be required to achieve the equivalent of a very good UK bachelor degree in an engineering discipline. Individual module/subject grades (including resits) will be considered.

Percentage marking systems

The marking scale used in percentage-based grading systems varies widely between countries, subjects and institutions. As a result, when deciding whether a candidate's grades represent outstanding academic performance, the University's experience and knowledge of the country's educational system, of the student's subject area and of the marking systems used by individual institutions will be taken into consideration.
Where appropriate, the overall ranking of the candidate within their cohort will also be taken into account.

English language

Successful candidates will be required to demonstrate a good level of English Language proficiency.

Personal statement

The information provided by the candidate in their personal statement will be considered alongside the evidence of their academic potential, as assessed through the candidate's formal qualifications. The personal statement (of no more than 500 words) allows the candidate to demonstrate:
  • Other achievements or involvement in extra-curricular activities
  • Relevant work experience
  • The potential to benefit from the experience of studying at the University of Hertfordshire and to make a significant ongoing contribution to the University community.

Terms, conditions and eligibility criteria

The Engineering and Computer Science Scholarship is available for all new full-time students who have been assessed as overseas for fee purposes, who are self-funded and who have been issued an offer to study at the University of Hertfordshire.
The scholarship is only available for postgraduate taught courses in the Schools of Computer Science or Engineering, not for PhDs or research.
Students who have completed a University of Hertfordshire degree and are applying for postgraduate study at the University may qualify for the UH Graduate Scholarship. You may also apply for the Engineering and Computer Science Engineering Scholarship however as you are not able to hold both you will be awarded the one which has the highest value.
Students who are studying on a University of Hertfordshire degree at an overseas partner are eligible to apply for the Scholarship at the point of transfer to the University in the UK, during their first year of on-campus study only.
Students who are successfully awarded one of the Engineering and Computer Science Scholarships are still eligible for the £500 tuition fee discount if they pay in full at registration.
Candidates will be required to meet all conditions of registration before the Scholarship is awarded.
Students who are studying at our partner college Hertfordshire International College (HIC) are not eligible to apply for the Engineering and Computer Science Scholarship following completion of their studies with HIC when they join the University.

KAAD scholarship for developing countries 2015

KAAD scholarship invites applications for the students belonging to developing countries  to pursue masters,PhD or postgraduate degree in a university of Germany.

Who can Apply

For the scholarship program 1 of KAAD you can apply if you:
  • come from a developing or emerging country in Africa, Asia, the middle east or Latin America and are currently living there
  • have a university degree and professional experience from your home country
  • want to acquire a master's degree or a PhD at a German university or do a post-doctoral research project (2-6 months for established university lectures) at a German university
  • are a Catholic Christian (or general belong to a Christian denomination). Candidates from other religions can apply if they are proposed by Catholic partners and can prove their commitment to inter-religious dialogue
  • possess German language skills before starting the studies(KAAD can provide a language course of max.6 months in Germany)

What KAAD expect from you?

  • Above average performance in studies and research

Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students in China 2015

In order to attract more outstanding international students to come to study in higher education institutions and expand the scale of the international students in Jiangxi Province and enhance Jiangxi’s international reputation, Jiangxi Provincial Government has set up Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students and the quota of the scholarship has already been distributed to each higher education institution including our university.

Here are some guidelines for students applying for this scholarship to follow:


Category of Scholarship

The scholarship is divided into three categories: Type A Scholarship, 25000RMB  for each person per year, used to sponsor international students studying for doctoral and master degrees; Type B Scholarship, 2000RMB for each student per year, used to sponsor international students for bachelor's degree and Type C Scholarship, 6000RMB, used to fund visiting scholars or other foreign students who will study in the university for at least half a year.

Target of Scholarship

According to the stipulations concerning Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students, more than 80% of the quotas of scholarship have to be used to enroll freshmen and less than 20% of the quotas of scholarship can be used for the students who are non new students.

Use Of Scholarship

The scholarship is used for students to pay registration fee, tuition fee, accommodation fee, fee or basic learning materials, fee for internship; and to buy Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme. So when the students in our university get the scholarship, the money will be used to pay for all the fees for the next academic year.

Criteria and Eligibility

Applicants who apply for this Scholarship should have a good academic basis. After the new international students enter Nanchang hangkong University, the university will organize a math and an English exam to test the applicant's capability and skills, and the results will be major criteria for determining scholarship awarding and the results of courses you learned in your Secondary School will be referred to.

Masters Scholarship in New Zealand 2015

The University of Auckland is offering a number of scholarships for international students to pursue Masters degree of Arts. The scholarship is open to all international students who are willing to apply for a study program in New Zealand in the upcoming year.

Selection Process:


  • Application by form is made to the scholarship office
  • a Selection Committee assesses the application 
  • the scholarship is awarded by the University Of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the selection committee

Regulations:

  1. The Scholarships shall be known as the Faculty of Arts International Masters Degree Scholarships.
  2.  Up to five Scholarships will be awarded annually, each for a period of one year, and will be of the value of up to $10,000 per annum.
  3.  To take up and be paid the Scholarships the candidates must be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrollment in a Master of Arts, Master of Creative Writing, Master of Literature, Master of Public Policy, Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, Master of Theology or Master of Professional Studies in the Faculty of Arts, at The University of Auckland .
  4.  The Scholarships are tenable by international students only.
  5.  The basis of selection will be academic merit .
  6. The Scholarships will be awarded by The University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Dean of the Faculty of Arts (or nominee), the Associate Dean (Postgraduate) of the Faculty of Arts (or nominee) and the Chair of the Faculty of Arts Scholarships Committee (or nominee).
  7. The Scholarships will be paid as a contribution towards tuition fees.
  8.  The Scholarships may be held concurrently with any other award or grant as long as a) the terms of that award or grant permit and b) The University of Auckland Council is informed and approves.
  9.  The University of Auckland Council, in consultation with the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, has the power to terminate or suspend a Scholarship if it receives an unsatisfactory report on the progress of a Scholar from the relevant Head of the Department or School in the Faculty of Arts.
  10.  The University of Auckland Council is not obliged to make an award if in any year there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
  11.  The University of Auckland Council has the power to amend or vary these Regulations provided that there is no departure from the main purpose of the Scholarships.
  12.  Applications by way of a form close with the Scholarships Office on 1 November in the year preceding the award.

Notes:

  1. The Scholarships must be taken up by semester two in the year of the award. Where a Scholar is unable to take up the Scholarship in the year of the award, their offer will lapse. However they may re-apply in the following or subsequent years.
  2.  For the purpose of these Scholarships, academic merit is assessed as a Scholarships GPA or GPE obtained over the applicants’ most recent two years of full-time graded study (or equivalent). These Scholarships are highly competitive and as such are awarded to the very highest achieving student(s). The GPA or GPE of successful recipients of similar Faculty of Arts scholarships has been 7.50 or above.
  3. Tuition/Compulsory fees are those only related to the relevant programme of study, plus Student Services Fee and Building Levy.
  4. These regulations are subject to Senate and Council approval

Full Time MBA Scholarship For International Students in Germany 2015

The HHL Scholarship for Effective and Responsible Leadership 2015 targets successful future business leaders who want to study in HHL's full-time Master Program in Management (M.Sc.) starting in March 2015 or September 2015. 
The scholarship will provide the successful applicants with a tuition waiver for the M.Sc. Program worth up to EUR 15,000. Social responsibility, effective leadership, and dedication describe the track record of the grantee. In return, the grantee will support HHL's mission.

Selection Process

The selection committee evaluates the applications and afterwards decides which candidates will be awarded with the Scholarship for Effective and Responsible Leadership. The final decision will be communicated after the last Admission Test Day of the current intake.

Scholarship Essay

Please submit your essay on the respective topic along with the other application documents. The essay has to be written in English and should comprise approximately 3,000 words.

Topic for September intake 2015: 
Industry 4.0 is becoming a catchphrase which denotes the ongoing transformation of industrial production in terms of an increase in digital interconnectedness, the use of smart technologies and the development of new forms of integrated production processes. Generally, industry 4.0 is seen as an enormous opportunity to enhance productivity, efficiency, flexibility, innovation and so on. Name and explain one ethical challenge that may become (or is already) relevant for industrial enterprises (automotive, telecommunication, engineering, etc.) in this context and how firms which are concerned should cope with this challenge.

Requirements and Deadlines

Applicants must hold or be in the process of obtaining a first degree in business (at least 180 ECTS credits) with an above average result. Furthermore a GMAT score of at least 650 is required. Only applicants who apply for HHL's full-time M.Sc. Program for the March 2015 or the September 2015 intake are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Applicants are required to submit all application documents by January 15 (Intake March) or June 20 (Intake September).

Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship UK 2015

Commonwealth Distance Learning scholarship gives you the opportunity to pursue a masters degree in UK while living in your home country. Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship support candidates to study Master's degree courses that are either offered in partnership with universities in developing countries, or directly by UK institutions.

The Emile-Boutmy scholarship In France for International Students 2015

Sciences Po created the Emile Boutmy scholarship after the founder of Sciences Po (1871) in order to welcome the very best international students from outside of the European Union. The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to top students whose profiles match the admissions priorities of Sciences Po and individual course requirements. 
Sorbonne Paris Cité (USPC) is one of France's major university consortiums bringing together four Parisian universities and four special-status higher education and research establishments including Sciences Po. The high quality of its research units ensures USPC a worldwide perspective, embracing all disciplines and reflecting its founders
shared ambition to investigate the major issues confronting our times.
The MIEM programme (International Masters Mobility Scholarship) at USPC aims to enhance research and training on an international scale by hosting high caliber students on Master Level.
The Boutmy/MIEM Scholarship will finance International Masters students by offering scholarships for excellence.

Eligibility requirements

Eligible students are those, first time applicants, from a non-European Union state, whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate or Master's programme.
Students who are not eligible are:
  • Swiss and Norwegian applicants, since they may be entitled to CROUS scholarships
  • Candidates who have dual citizenship, including from a European Union state
  • Candidates from Quebec (since they may take advantage of sliding scale fees same as European applicants)
  • Dual-degree candidates. Only applicants for the following dual degrees are eligible:
    • the dual degree in Journalism Sciences Po/Columbia University
    • the dual degree Sciences Po/Fudan University with the concentration Europe-Asia in Global Affairs (only applicants with Chinese nationality)
    • the dual degree Sciences Po/Peking University (only applicants with Chinese nationality)
  • Ph.D. programme students (thesis)
  • Candidates to the Master in Development Practice (http://www.psia.sciences-po.fr/content/master-development-practice)
  • Candidates to the 1-year Fast Track : Financial Regulation and Risk Management (http://master.sciences-po.fr/contenu/financial-regulation-and-risk-management)
The Emile Boutmy/MIEM scholarship may not be supplemented with other scholarship (Eiffel scholarshis, AEFE shcolarship, BGF...).
This scholarship is awarded based on factors of excellence and according to the type of profile sought for this programme. Social criteria are also taken into account.
This scholarship is not automatically awarded. A request for it must be made in the section designated for the purpose on the application form.  

Undergraduate programme: Amount and length of the scholarship 2015-2016

The Emile Boutmy programme can take several different forms:
  1. A tuition grant of €7,300 per year for the three years of the undergraduate programme, in addition to a grant to cover part of the cost of living of €5000 per year.
  2. A tuition grant of €7,300 per year for the three years of the undergraduate programme.
  3. A tuition grant of €5,000 per year for the three years of the undergraduate programme.
  4. A tuition grant of €3,000 per year for the three years of the undergraduate programme.
On an exceptional basis, a scholarship of 19,000€ may be granted to cover the three years of College.
If you do not validate your academic year, your scholarship will be lost.
If you have been granted for a scholarship and you decide to defer your admission, your scholarship wil be lost.
During the year abroad (third year of the undergraduate programme): Scholarship recipients will retain their tuition fee grant during their year abroad.

Masters level: Amount and length of the scholarship 2015-2016

The Emile Boutmy/Miem programme can take several different forms:
  1. A grant of €10,000 per year to cover tuition fees for the two years of the Masters, in addition to a grant to cover part of the cost of living of €6,000 per year.
  2. A tuition grant of €10,000 per year for the two years of the Masters.
  3. A tuition grant of €5,000 per year for the two years of the Masters.
On an exceptional basis, a scholarship of 19,000€ per year, may be granted to cover the two years of the Masters programme.
If you do not validated your academic year, your scholarship will be lost.
If you have been granted for a scholarship and you decide to defer your admission, your scholarship will be lost.

In order to apply to this scholarship you must notify it on your application form, as well as include a proof of income and documents explaining your family situation (e.g. income tax return for both parents, payslips, divorce certificate, unemployment benefits, documents related to alimony, child support or retirement pensions, death certificate...).

The University of Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Scholarship

University of Edinbrugh is offering a number of scholarships for the 2015-2016 session with each award worth £2,000 per year. Awards are tenable for the duration of the programme of study. Scholarships are offered to students who are nationals of countries outside with EU for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the university. 

Eligibility



  • The scholarships are competitive and awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit.
  • They are awarded to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for undergraduate study at the University of Edinburgh.
  • Students already on a programme are not eligible.
  • Applicants must also be nationals of a country outwith the EU.
  • Applicants should have applied through Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) and been offered and accepted a place at the University of Edinburgh by the scholarship closing date of 1 April 2015.
